Chandrababu Must Reveal Singapore Deal On Amaravati: Former AP Minister
Amaravati: Former Andhra Pradesh minister Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao demanded that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reveal the details of the agreement between the state government and the Singaporean companies on building Amaravati. Speaking to media on Monday, he made serious comments against the Chandrababu government.
"The Chief Minister snatched away thousands of acres of land from the farmers, only to hand them over to the Singaporean companies. People suspect that Chandrababu has struck a secret deal with the companies. He must reveal all the details immediately. The details should be brought to the public domain. The land acquisition is not a private affair like his Heritage organization," the former minister said.

More than an year into the deal with the Singaporean companies, there is no progress in terms of implementation, he said. "Now, there seems to be a plan to sign a new agreement with other companies. Is the Singapore deal a waste of time and public money? Who will take the responsibility in case of disputes? On top of that, Singapore companies are not compliant to Indian laws. The government will have to resolve the issues with the Singapore government in case of any complications. People of the state will not spare the govenment if there is misuse of public money," he added.
