Keerthy Suresh's latest outing Mahanati is creating waves at domestic and international markets. Since its opening, Mahanati has scorched the box office. The film continues to rake in moolah at the box office in its run of third week. Mahanati has become the third highest grosser of 2018 after Ram Charan's Rangasthalam and Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu at the USA box office.

Mahanati tells the story of yesteryear actress Savitri and how she has become a great icon in the film industry. The film has showcased ups and downs in Savitri's life, her
success and failures beautifully in the biopic. Still, Savitri amma is ruling at the box office with her biopic by dethroning big ticket films- Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya. It is the first women-centric film to cross $2 million mark at the box office this year. The film has managed to collect $22,062 on
its eighteenth day at the box office which is a huge number when compared to other

Several channels are competing to bag the satellite rights of Mahanati.
There were reports that Zee Channel have already acquired rights for a fancy price of Rs 11 Cr.However, if a source in the know is anything to go by, then Mahanati makers
are keen on selling their film rights to Sun Network for a whopping price of Rs 18 Cr. So far, nothing has been finalized about satellite rights from any entertainment channel.
The film is directed by Nag Ashwin who is over the moon about the film's success and he has become the most sought-after director for Tollywood top stars.
