Telugu Movies Giving Bollywood Films Tough Competition
Looks like Tollywood films are having a dream run at the box office over the last one year. We are talking about films with Rs 100 plus crore share. Recently, Film Critic Taran Adarsh alsol posted a tweet stating Tollywood films were giving tough competition to Bollywood films which used to dominated in the overseas market.
Bollywood films doing Rs 100 Cr business is no news but when it comes from a regional films it sure means a huge achievement for the Tollywood film industry.
Here are five Telugu films which have reached that height and created a new milestone at the box office:
Baahubali: Rajamouli's Baahubali did fantastic business at the box office. Now that Baahubali has created such a huge benchmark, it Fory film, it becomes hard for films to break its collections. We need not tell you how much business Baahubali did at the ticket window. None of the films have been able to break those records.
Now, Tollywood stars are eyeing only non-baahubali record. Guess what? In summer, the recently released Rangasthalam became the first film to create abnon-baahubali record with a huge margin. Rangasthalam has bagged the third place after Baahubali franchise.

Another film, Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu has successfully crossed Rs 100 Cr share but it failed to do business like Ram Charan's Rangasthalam. But Bharat Ane Nenu managed to surprass Khaidi No.150 total share at the worldwide box office. Bharat Ane Nenu is hodling fourth position after Baahubali series and Rangasthalam among the highest grossing films at the overseas box office.

2. Baahubali 1 – 189 Cr (worldwide Telugu)
3. Rangasthalam – 125 Cr
4. Bharat Ane Nenu – 105.6 Cr
