Chandrababu Did Not Spare The Lord: Bhumana

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not spare even Lord Venkateswara when it came to his personal gains. Speaking to the media here today, he recalled the statement of head priest of Tirumala temple Ramana Deekshitulu that unimaginable atrocities were happening in the temple. He questioned the action against him by TTD without clarifying on his accusations. He accused Chandrababu of being like Ghazni who destroyed temples.

Bhumana questioned how people (board members) who are in power for two years could take action against priests who have been performing rituals since many years. He said Chandrababu had no authority to boss over the priests. Around 45 temples around Vijayawada have been demolished he pointed out and added that the AP CM had targeted the Brahmin community. He said the head priest was discharged from the charges because he could complain that the government was performing poojas similar to the one which was performed at Vijayawada Durga temple.

The YSRCP senior leader said Chandrababu was like a parasite that was targeting the Tirumala temple. He alleged that TDP Chief had grabbed temple lands at various places across the state for a very cheap rate. He reminded the people at large that it was during Chandrababu's rule that 1000 pillar mandapam was demolished in Tirumala.
