Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanati is ruling Tollywood summer box office. After three blockbuster hits like- Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu, Naa Peru Surya, latest release Mahanati is on a winning streak at the box office. Ever since the film opened in theatres, the Savitri has received rave reviews not only from critics but also from several Tollywood stars like-Rajamouli, Chiranjeevi, and other stars.

Mahanati has become a hot topic of discussion in trade circles as well as among movie buffs. This is the first women-centric film to have crossed the $1.5 million mark at the USA box office and racing towards becoming the biggest women-centric film. This year also saw the release of another women-centric film—Anushka's Bhaagamathie which crossed $ one million mark at the USA box office. The film traces the real life story of yesteryear actress Savitri where they have showcased her rise to stardom and the sub sequential downfall. Legendary actress Savitri ruled the box office in 50s and 60s. Now with the film doing rock steady business, she is still the queen of box office.
