Former Rayalaseema IG Iqbal Joins YSRCP

Eluru: Former Inspector-General of Rayalaseema Range, Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal, IPS, joined the YSRCP on Wednesday. The Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, welcomed him into the party. Iqbal was accompanied by a number of senior party leaders including Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy, among others.

It is relevant to point out here that Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal of Kurnool district had held important posts as a senior police officer in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
