Modi Gets Trolled For Spelling Sita Wrong
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to have bitten the dust at Nepal's Janaki temple. It was all the more ironical that the Prime Minister should have got the spelling of Sita popularly known as ‘Siya’ wrong, considering the Prime Minister is seen as an avowed espouser of the cause of Hindutva. PM Modi seems to have got the spelling wrong while putting down his comments in the visitor's book of the temple. This became an instant topic of trolling and forwards on the social media. Modi is being compared to Congress President Rahul Gandhi and is being trolled all over popular social networking websites.
Prime Minister Modi, who is on a two-day tour to Nepal, visited the holy city of Janakpur yesterday, which is said to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita. He drew huge criticism following a spelling mistake in the visitor's book of the Janaki temple.
Modi misspelled Siya in his note and this has become a point of criticism soon after the official Twitter account of the Ministry of External Affairs shared the image.
Immediately, the Opposition party Congress leader RPN Singh commented, "We have seen PM Modi who often gives examples of Sita. The same person cannot even spell the word Siya."
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi committed a blooper whilecopying a condolence message in the guest book at Nepal Embassy. This video posted on the social media had gone viral then. Similarly, the image of wrong spelling is doing the rounds now.
