Maduri Dixit Nene is one of the most successful actresses in the 90's. The actress has been highly appreciated for her acting and dancing skills in films like Saajan, which had Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as lead actors. She made her acting debut with Abodh in 1984. Films like Tezaab, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Devdas established her career in the industry.

A trained Kathak dancer, Maduri was born and brought up in Mumbai. After getting married to an NRI, Maduri had taken a long break from films. Over 10 years of long break, Maduri appeared on Anil Mehta's dance film 'Aaja Nachle'. In fact her dancing was appreciated by everyone including ace painted MF Hussain, who went on to paint a series of Madhuri portraits from the film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.
