Newborn Girl Abandoned In Garbage Dump Survives

Hyderabad: In separate incidents, two abandoned newborn girls were found on Sunday. The first infant found dead in the bushes in Suryapet while the second was alive in garbage bin at Ramanthapur.

The incident came to light when morning walkers from Patel Nagar street, Venkat Reddy Nagar in Ramanthapur heard baby's cry from a garbage dump, who then alerted 108 service. The baby was taken to Niloufer hospital after giving a first aid and is kept under observation. Doctors said that baby's condition is stable. Meanwhile, police have registered a case.

In the second case, the dead infant on the banks of Saddula Cheruvu was identified by few women. The women said that they found rats nibbling on her left hand and suspect that the baby might have been born two days ago.

Police have registered a case and are inquiring in the nearby hospitals.
