New MLCs’ swearing-in: Tension as TDP men heckle YSRCP

Mild tension prevailed near the AP legislative council on Monday as TDP supporters tried to heckle the large number of YSRCP workers who gathered to celebrate the swearing in of their newly elected MLCs.

Chairperson of the AP Council Chakrapani administered oath to the victorious TDP MLCs and the YSRCP MLAs – Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy and Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose. Large number supporters of both the parties gathered. Seeing the YSRCP workers, the TDP workers began shouting slogans, this led to mild tension as the YSRCP workers to replied with slogans.
Both the groups entered into fisticuffs and wordy duel. Immediately, the police moved in and separated both the groups. The situation was soon brought under control.
