Statement on new capital in assembly today
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu will make a statement on the new capital of the state in assembly at 11 AM on Thursday.
It may be recalled that the chief minister had announced in the recent cabinet meeting that the capital would be formed only in Guntur and Krishna districts.
As per the sources, the chief minister came to a final decision that the capital will be formed in Mangalagiri in Guntur district if the farmers give their lands in the area. If the farmers can’t come forward to give their lands there, the capital will be formed at Nuziveedu in Krishna district where plenty of government lands are available.
However, Sivaramakrishnan Committee recommended to form the capital in the places of Martur and Donakonda in Prakasam district.
