Kurnool: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday appointed Silpa Chakrapani Reddy and BY Ramaiah as the new chiefs for Nandyal and Kurnool, respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, several leaders of YSRCP praised the services of outgoing district president Gouru Venkata Reddy. Assuming charge, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy and BY Ramaiah asserted that they will work towards strengthening the party from the grassroot level. Addressing the gathering Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said the classification of districts and the administration is from the British era and hence it is posing a hindrance to effective administration. He reiterated the announcement made by YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that a new district should be formed for a population of 10 lakh. "Such new districts will ensure effective administration and also welfare schemes will reach the masses. In this regard, YS Jagan had promised that every Parliamentary constituency can be made a new district," Rajendranath Reddy said.

New appointee Silpa Charapani Reddy urged the people to come up with suggestions for the development of Nandyal. He urged the youth to join the YSRCP in large numbers to strengthen the party.
