Never promised govt jobs to all: CM

Not everybody should aspire for a government job, said Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy. Interacting with students as part of Indiramma Baata in Palakolu of West Godavari district, he said that his government was committed to creating 15 lakh jobs under the Rajiv Yuvakiranalu scheme over the next three years.

However, this did not mean that all of these would be government jobs, he said. Kiran Kumar added that while everyone wanted the security of a government job, students should seek employment matching their educational qualifications.
The Chief Minister said that under the Rajiv Yuvakiranalu scheme 3.6 lakh jobs would be created this year and that 2 lakh jobs had been provided in the first six months. The goal of the scheme was to hone the skills of youth and generate employment, he said.
