Nellore cops barge into Idupulapaya guesthouse
Mild tension prevailed at Idupulapaya guesthouse when the police raided the guest house without permission.
According to reports, the police entered the guesthouse without permission and raided the premises saying that some ZPTCs belong to Nellore district were housed in the guesthouse.
Tension prevailed at the guesthouse for sometime when the YSRCP activists obstructed the police entering the guest house.
The YSRCP activists alleged that the police raiding was part of the TDP's machinations. They said that the TDP has now found that it did not have the numbers needed to win the Nellore and Prakasam ZP chairpersons' posts. They also said that TDP leaders were using police to create fear among the ZPTC members.
After the raiding, the police found no ZPTCs there.
Elections to Prakasam and Nellore ZP chairpersons' posts were postponed due to unruly scenes created by the TDP leaders in the council halls. Elections for the both the posts will be held tomorrow.
It is worth recollecting here that Leader of the Opposition and YSR CP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has sought President Pranab Mukherjee’s intervention to keep the TDP government in AP under the leash as it was intimidating the victorious YSRCP ZPTC members and were resorting to eliminating YSRCP functionaries.
