Following a strict dress code instructed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), students appeared for NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) on Sunday faced some serious problems.

In what seems to be a bizarre incident, a girl was asked to remove her inner wear with metal buckles before the exam in a remote village at Kannur in Kerala state.

According to report in Deccan Chronicle, a girl student from Kasaragod was asked to remove her bra at the entry point when the metal detector gave a beep sound. She took the exam at the TISK English Medium school at Kunhingamangalam, Payyannur city in Kannur district.

She was asked to change her inner wear when the time was 9.20 am and she struggled as she had only 10 minutes left for the exams. The officials did not even allow her to use the toilets at the exam centre.

Subsequently, she had to sought help change from women invigilators and staff to change her inner wear at the entry point.

The girl student was also asked to remove slippers which was also not the NEET rule. The incident shattered the girl's confidence, in fact many students who had faced similar situations, after a year-long preparation for the exam.

Total of 11,38,890 students appeared for the Neet in 103 cities in the country

Even though the NEET rules are not referred to the removal of inner wear, the Kerala girl was forcefully asked to remove her bra.

Following severe scramble by the students due to the rules, the parents fume over the ignorance and lack of common sense from the officials who are assigned to conduct the exam.
