Necklace Road and its vicinity to be WIFI enabled
The vicinity of Lumbini park, Necklace road and Tank Bund are all set to become the first WiFi enabled areas in the state.
An area of 10 km surrounding Hussain Sagar will now have access to free WiFi starting from Thursday. The services provider is BSNL and Quadgen Wireless solutions. WiFi services would be inaugurated at the Mariott hotel by IT minister KTR. He will be the first one to utilize the service and will have a video chat with Union IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad.
As many as 1800 to 2500 people can access WiFi which has a speed of 2 Mbps to 20 Mbps. First 30 minutes will be free and later people have to register to avail WiFi.
