NCC Cadet Drowns To Death While His Friends Were Busy Clicking Selfies 

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, an NCC cadet drowned to death while his friends were busy clicking selfies. This heart-rending incident took place on Sunday at Ravagondlu Betta near Kanakapura, about 64 kms from Bengaluru city.

According to the police, the victim was identified as G Vishwas, a student of National College in Jayanagar. Vishwas along with his fellow cadets went for a picnic to Ravagondlu Betta.

All the group members including Vishwas ventured into a village pond for a swim. However, Vishwas failed to fathom the depth of the pond and panicked. At this time, his friends were busy taking selfies and did not realise that Vishwas was drowning.

Ironically, Vishwas can be seen in one of the selfies the group had taken. After a few minutes, the students found Vishwas's body floating. The tragic death of Vishwas left his parents shattered. The police a registered a case under accidental death.
