Nayeem Links Expose Role of Nalgonda Collector’s Relative
Hyderabad: The ongoing probe into slain gangster Nayeem has revealed a close nexus with relatives of Naglonda district collector.
Police have booked a case against Chintala Venkateshwar Reddy, who is a brother-in-law of Nalgonda Collector Satyanarayana Reddy, for his alleged association with Nayeem.
Venkateshwar Reddy was not successful in the 2014 assembly elections in Bhongir on a Congress ticket, but is now playing a vital role in district politics as part of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) in Nalgonda district.
It’s learnt that Venkateshwar Reddy is a long-term associate of Nayeem as he was reportedly involved in several extortion deals for over 15 years.
However, Nalgonda district Police officials denied to divulge more details about the case though Bhongir police Though a first information report (FIR) was registered against Venkateshwar Reddy by the three days ago.
According to latest media reports, Venkateshwar Reddy is reportedly a close associate of TRS MLC N Vidhya Sagar. A case against Vidhya Sagar was also registered a few days ago for his alleged links with Nayeem.
According to a complaint filed against Reddy, he was involved in several extortion cases using Nayeem’s associates. Venkateshwar Reddy forced many land owners to transfer their property in the name of his benamis, reads the complaint.
