Nayeem Amassed Huge Ill-gotten Wealth Worth Thousands of Crores

Hyderabad: Slain gangster Nayeem had created a new record in accumulating wealth. Unaccounted assets worth crores of rupees have been unearthed as SIT’s probe digging into criminal offenses of Nayeem. SIT so far identified 1,015 acres of land worth thousands of crores.

Several houses and commercial complexes spread over 1.5 lakh square yards have been found during the investigation. The value of these properties is roughly pegged over thousands of crores of rupees.

SIT is scrutinizing all the seized documents and probing several ventures in 1,015 acres at several prime locations across Telangana. Officials from the revenue department are also participating in the investigation assisting SIT. Most of the Nayeem’s properties are located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. SIT is yet to identify Nayeem’s properties in Goa, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, AP and Maharashtra.

The Naxalite-turned-informer-turned gangster built up huge properties, jewellery and liquid cash over two-decade span, which is almost impossible for even any businessman with stupendous success record to reach this level.

Initial valuations put at Rs14.39 crore as per government rates and Rs1,500 crore according to market prices.
The value of nine acre land at Kondapur under Nayeem encroachment is at Rs200 crore.

Most of the Nayeem’s properties are located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. SIT is yet to identify Nayeem’s properties in Goa, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, AP and Maharashtra.

Police take Farhana, Afsa to other states

Court has permitted Cyberabad West Police to take Farhana and Afsa into custody for six days for further interrogation. Farhana and Afsa during the police interrogation revealed that Nayeem held properties in five states. Police are taking them to AP, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgardh and Odisha to identify illegal properties of Nayeem.
Police has already seized houses in Tirumala Garden and houses in Alkapuri and Puppalaguda. Nayeem registered Anjali Garden on his cook Farhana’s name and this has also been seized by SIT.

Nayeem’s wife, sister in police custody

SIT has also taken Nayeem’s wife Hasina Begum, sister Salima Begum, Matin, watchman at Nayeem’s house in Shadnagar, and his wife Khalima Begum into custody for one week. Police are investigating into several properties of Nayeem located in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Karimnagar, Sanga Reddy and Khammam.

During the interrogation, police came to know of Nayeem’s attitude as he used to go any extent to grab anything whether it’s a piece of land or fixed property that attracts him.
