Navy to get 2900-acre land to set up VLF station in Telangana - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad, The Navy will get 2900 acres of forest land in Dammagudem reserve forest in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district for setting up a VLF station naval base after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave his in-principle nod for allotment of the land on Monday.

Satish Soni, the Vice Admiral, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, met the Chief Minister in the Secretariat today and the latter agreed to extend all necessary cooperation to handover the land, a Telangana government release said here.

Navy will pay Rs 115.06 crore towards compensatory afforestation and net present value of the land in due course, the release added.
