Ayodhya Deepotsav Enters Guinness Book Of World Records

Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh's the Yogi Adiyanath government had organised a Deepotsav that has found itself a place in the Guinness book of world records. A total of 5.61 lakh earthen lamps were lit for the occasion on Saturday at Ayodhya.

Over 4,10,000 lamps were lit at that Ram Ki Paudi, and over 1,51,000 lamps were lit at other places.

Yogi Adityanath, The CM of Uttar Pradesh had launched Rs 266 Crore worth of schemes on the occasion.

He said: "Out of seven holy cities three -- Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura-- three are in our state. No one in the world and country has this prosperous and cultural environment".

"Development projects in Ayodhya are being taken forward with new policies. You have witnessed that mother (river) Sarayu had maintained a gap with us but now we have started taking her blessings," he said.

A symbolic Decent of Ram and Sita also took place on the occasion. They had come in on a helicopter and the Chief Minister and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das did symbolic coronation of Lord Rama.
