Couple Struck By Lightning On Goa Beach, Man Dies

In a freak accident of sorts, a couple who were enjoying a nice vacation in North Goa, were struck by lightning at the Candolim Beach in North Goa. The husband Chaitanya Nagpal died on the spot while the wife was injured.

The couple were from Delhi and were in Goa for a vacation. They were residing in a resort close to the candolim beach. They headed out on a stroll by the beach, something that everyone would do usually in the evening while in Goa. They were struk by a lightning bolt that killed Chaitanya on the spot and left his wife with injuries.

The beach in goa is supposed to be one of the most crowded beaches during busy season. The body was sent for post moterm while the wife was shifted to a local hospital close to the beach, and is under recovery.
