Chidambaram Bail Petition Rejected - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Delhi High Court dismissed Former Union Minister Chidambaram’s bail petition on Monday, September 30. Chidambaram has filed a bail petition in the INX Media corruption case.

High Court Justice Suresh Kait agreed with CBI's argument that Chidambaram may influence the witnesses if he was given bail and denied to grant bail to Chidambaram. Chidambaram has been arrested on August 21 by the CBI in the INX Media corruption case and is being kept in Tihar Jail under judicial custody.

Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has already argued in the Delhi High Court that the key evidence for the INX media case has disappeared because of the Chidambaram's Influence.

Chidambaram, who was arrested in the case, awaited trial on the basis of all the evidence. The CBI has arrested Chidambaram in the INX media case. He is currently in Tihar Jail.
