EDM Festival Sunburn Goa Will Be Bigger
New Delhi: Come December and electronic dance music festival Sunburn will return to Goa for the annual year-end music fest.
Sunburn started in 2007 as a three-day music festival in Goa. The venue of the tenth edition of Sunburn in 2016 was shifted from Goa to Pune due to several reasons, including pending dues.
Earlier this year, Percept live, the wholly owned subsidiary of Percept Ltd, had announced a collaboration with Goa-based Klassique, represented by Shailesh Shetty, to co-promote all Sunburn events in Goa. Under this alliance, the first two-day event was held in February.
Now, Sunburn will be hosting its main festival Sunburn Goa at Vagator from December 27 to December 29. This event will be held in association with Klassique Events Goa, read a statement.
"Sunburn introduced the concept of dance music to India and has aided in building music tourism across the country... We're going in all guns blazing to make an even bigger mark in 2019. Goa has been the birthplace of Sunburn and it feels nostalgic to be coming home," said Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn.
To this, Shetty added: "Goa missed Sunburn and Sunburn missed Goa. I'm happy that we could work with Percept to bring sunburn back home."
