Congress Social Media Head Divya Spandana Quits Twitter
New Delhi: Days after posting a congratulatory tweet to BJP's Nirmala Sitharaman, the official Twitter handle of Congress social media head Divya Spandana, known for targeting the BJP, has gone missing from the micro-blogging site.
A search for @divyaspandana on the micro-blogging site says "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!”
There has been no official confirmation on the reason behind the Twitter account going missing.
It is however unclear if her sudden disappearance is linked to the Congress' one month ban on sending spokespersons to television debates.
On the speculations that she had parted ways from the Congress, Spandana told news agency ANI, "Your source is wrong.”
When Nirmala Sitharaaman became the finance minister, Spandana had tweeted, "Congratulations @nsitharaman on taking charge of a portfolio that was only last held by another woman, Indira Gandhiji in 1970 - makes us womenfolk proud! The GDP not looking great, I'm sure you will do your best to revive the economy. You have our support. Best wishes."
Spandana is credited for making a turnaround in the Congress IT Cell and taking sharp attacks on the ruling BJP.
