16-Year-Old Collapses After Playing PUBG For 6 Hours, Dies

A 16-year-old boy succumbed to death after playing the popular game Player Unknown's Battlegrounds also known as PUBG for six hours at a stretch. The boy died of cardiac arrest. The incident took place on May 28.

As per the details, the boy, identified as Furkhan Qureshi resided in Neemuch town of Madhya Pradesh. Furkhan, a student of Class 12 began playing the game after lunch and it continued for over six hours. According to Furkhan's father. Harun Rashid Qureshi, the boy shouted at other players during the game and collapsed.

Fiza Qureshi, Furkhan's sister was sitting beside him when the incident took place. She stated that Furkhan was playing PUBG with some of his friends and all of a sudden started screaming 'carry out the blast..carry out blast'.

Thereafter, Furkhan threw his earphones and mobile while wailing muttering the words, "I will not play with you'. I lost the game because of you."

Furkhan collapsed right after and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The doctors shared that the boy was brought to the hospital without a pulse and they tried to revive him but failed in their attempts. They believe that the excitement of the game might have sprung the adrenaline resulting in the cardiac arrest.

Mohammad Hashim shared the level of addiction his brother, Furkhan had for the game, saying that he often would play for 18 hours.
