Hindi Actress In Trouble For Assaulting Husband

Pune: Veteran actress Ranjeeta Kaur, who starred in movies such as Laila-Majnu and Ankhiyon Ke Jharakhon Se has been accused of assaulting her husband, Raj Masand over a property dispute.

According to the details, Raj Masand (68) had approached the police recently to lodge a complaint against his wife over the abuse. In his complaint, he mentioned that Ranjeeta Kaur along with their son, Sky, assaulted him on multiple occasions and threatened to kill him.

Mr Masand has already submitted applications to the senior citizens' cell of the Pune police regarding the repeated attacks on him. He alleged that on May 23, Ranjeeta and Sky assaulted him, tore away his shirt and attempted to push him off their fourth-floor balcony.

The police filed an occurrence report under Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (punishment for intentionally insulting a person) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code. As per the latest reports, the Pune police have counseled both Ranjeeta Kaur and her son. Now, the family claims that all is well among them and Mr Masand stated that the incident was only an outcome of a heated discussion.
