ND Tiwari’s son Rohit Shekhar Dies In Delhi

New Delhi: Rohit Shekhar Tiwari (40), son of former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and Congress leader ND Tiwari died today.

Rohit Shekhar Tiwari was brought dead to Max Hospital in Saket. DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar said that Rohit Shekhar Tiwari son of ND Tiwari, was brought dead to Max Saket hospital and further details were awaited.

However, his mother Ujjwala Tiwari told reporters that his death was natural and that there was no suspicion. She also said that she would reveal what circumstances led to his death later after the autopsy was over.

According to Joint Commissioner, Delhi Police, Devesh Shrivastava, they received information that blood was oozing out of Rohit Shekhar’s nose when he was admitted to the hospital. Family members told the police that Rohit was sleeping in his room when his wife Apoorva found him lying motionless and that his hands and feet had also turned cold. She alerted the servants and the hospital. They called Rohit Shekhar’s mother Ujjwala Tiwari who had gone to the hospital for her check up. She also reached her son's Defence Colony residence after which he was taken to the hospital. On Tuesday evening, a police team reached Rohit Shekhar’s residence to search the house as per legal procedures, found that the pillow on which Rohit Shekhar was sleeping had blood stains on them.

Apparently, Rohit Shekhar was also unwell for the past few days and was advised to take rest at home. Rohit Shekhar was married to Apoorva last year and the couple was to celebrate their first anniversary in May this year.

Rohit Shekhar Tiwari was known for the long-drawn battle with his father ND Tiwari, who for the had refused to accept him as his son.In 2014, after prolonged lawsuits and a DNA test and media trial, ND Tiwari finally accepted that Rohit was his biological son.ND Tiwari passed away in 2018.
