How To Check Your Name In Electoral Voter List- A Sakshi Initiative
Follow these steps to check if your name is on the electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh.
National Voter Services Portal
1. Go to the National Voter Services Portal’s (NVSP) Electoral Search page ww.nvsp.in
2. You can search for your name on the voter list in two ways — by manually entering all of your details or simply by entering your Electoral Photo ID Card (EPIC) number. The EPIC number is mentioned in bold letters on your voter identity card.
If you have the EPIC number mentioned on your voter ID
If you have an EPIC number, go through these steps to check if your name is on the voter list.
1. Visit the NVSP Electoral Search page.
2. Click or tap on Search by EPIC No..
3. Enter your EPIC number, select the state from the drop-down menu, and key in the code you see on the image. Then click or tap Search.
4. If your name is on electoral rolls, you will be able to see it below the Search button.
How to Check if you don’t have your EPIC number
In case you don’t have your voter identity card with you and thereby don’t have your EPIC number, these steps should help you check if your name is on the voter list.
1. Visit the NVSP Electoral Search page.
2. Click or tap on Search by Details.
3. Key in all details including your name, gender, age, Assembly constituency, etc. as described on the page. Then enter the code you see on the captcha image, and finally, click or tap on Search.
4. If you see a result in the area below the Search button, that means your name is on the voter list
You could also call the toll free number 0861 - 1950 and verify your voter details.
You can search in the Andhra Pradesh Election Commission website.
1. Go to www.ceoandhra.nic.in.
2. You will find an option " search your name" . 3. Enter your name and check the details if you are already registered
District Collectorate
The officials in your District Collectorate office will also let you know if you are registered.
Just Give them your EPIC number or your name and they will inform you.
If you are not registered fill in a Form 6 and enroll yourselves there.
Mee Seva Centers
The Mee Seva Centers also provide voter information. All you have to do is pay the processing fee and they will furnish details.
If you are not a registered voter, you could file an online application at the Mee Seva Center.
There is also a provision available where you can register a week before the Election Nomination is filed. You can check with the local election officers and register yourselves.
-> The Local RDO officer or election officials attached to the RDO will also furnish the voter id details.
-> Check with Booth level officers in your area and they will provide the Voter list available with them. You could locate your name in the list and this list is available in every Panchayat office as well.
-> Once the Election schedule notification is released, the Election commission also releases the latest Voter list. This list will be available in all official places right from the district Collectorate to the Booth level official.
-> You could search for your name and if it is not there, the RDO, MRO and Booth Level officers will help you register your name.
NOTE: March 15 is the last date for online/offline submission of application for updating the voter details as disclosed by AP CEO Gopalakrishna Dwivedi.
