Woman Delivers Twins In Railway Waiting Room

This New Year 2019 has began on a really happy note for a Maharashtra woman, who delivered her twin babies at the waiting room in Palghar station.

According to the police Chhaya Savra developed labour pains at at the railway station, when she was travelling to Dahanu on a train along with her husband and mother-in-law on the morning of New Year. As she developed labor pains, while on the train, she was shifted to the waiting room as the train approached Palghar station. Later, doctors also attended to her at the waiting room and helped her with the delivery.

Talking to the media Dr Rajendra Chavan said that both the babies weighed around 2.50 kg at the time of birth. The mother and twins are doing fine. Another doctor, Dr Umesh Dhumpalwar also helped his colleague in the delivery. The mother and the infants were later admitted to Palghar rural hospital.
