Man Accused For Molesting Child Actress Arrested
In connection with the sexual assault case against an airline passenger for allegedly molesting a child-actress who acted in Bollywood film 'Dangal', the Mumbai police arrested the accused, Vikas Sachdeva, a 39-year-old businessman based in Mumbai. According to reports, the police had filed a sexual assault case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the businessman for molesting the 17-year-old.
The incident occured during a flight from New Delhi to Mumbai in December last year. The actress narrated the incident in a Facebook video, which later went viral, gaining massive support against the offender. However, Vikas argued that he did not know what he did at the time since he was sleeping during the flight, and that the allegations were falsely made for gaining publicity.
The accused's legal team supported him by saying that the actress should have rang the alarm in case of such an incident.
