Bihar SUV Accident Kills 6 Kids

In a tragic incident, six children lost their life in an accident in Bihar’s Araria district on Tuesday morning when the SUV in which they were travelling hit a tree and fell into a pond. According to Police statement, the accident took place near Suksena village in Tarabari police station area of Araria district, 370 km northeast of Patna.

Tarabari police station (SHO) Prashant Kumar said, “The driver lost control over the vehicle while trying to save some children who were crossing the road. The vehicle hit a tree and then fell into a pond.”

Golu Kumar aged 8, Naina Kumari, 8, Mithun Kumar, 10, Karan Kumar, 10, Ajay Kumar, 12, and Nitish Rishidev, 14, were among the deceased and a couple of other children who were injured, were sent to Araria sadar hospital, for treatment, he said. “The driver escaped unhurt and fled from the spot,” he added.
