Nani’s Krishhnarjuna Yudham: Double Car For Double Role
Natural Star Nani is all set to enthrall the audience on April 12 in his next film Krishhnarjuna Yudham. Yes, the countdown has begun. Already there's an eager air of anticipation about the much-hyped film. After Janda Pai Kapiraju and Gentleman, Nani will be seen in a dual role, making this his third dual appearance. And for a star competing with many senior actors in the industry, this, in itself, is a major accomplishment. The Sankranti festival came in as an opportune time for the makers to introduce the characters of both Krishna and Arjun from Krishhnarjuna Yudham, being donned by Nani. Currently, the film-makers are busy in promotions.
Talking of promotions, this promotional activity is no less than a budget of a pre-release event, as the film crew knows what it wants—the attention of the audience to the fullest. The SoP in promotions, so to speak, is to design a movie still and plaster it all over a car. It is then sent on a promotional tour to various places.
However, director Merlapaka Gandhi went the extra mile in his innovation with promotional activity. He drew inspiration from Nani's dual role, and used a dual car concept. Now, what do you think of that? Well, the idea has proved to be a crowd-stopper with people halting in their tracks to take a look at the dual car concept—a car plastered with movie stills, on top of another such—an unusual sight and the outcome of an innovative concept. While the concept has caught the imagination of the public as also its attention, how this will turn into box office success remains to be seen.
Incidentally, this is the third film of Merlapaka after Venkatadri Express and Express Raja. As both the movies scored well at the box office, expectations are riding high on this movie. Bankrolled by Shine Creations, the music for the movie is composed by Hiphop Tamizha.
