Naidu should be made A1 in cash for vote case

Hyderabad: Asserting that the brazen corruption of TDP leadership and its nefarious line of political thought have come to the open once again, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded that Chandrababu Naidu should be booked as the main accused in the cash for vote case as he is the kingpin while Revanth Reddy is only a front man.

“ When the line of events that unfolded during the deal for vote point towards Chandrababu Naidu being the kingpin, there is no reason as to why the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister should not be made the prime accused in the case and zero down to the source of the flow of money as the TDP government is laden with serious corruption charges, ‘ the Leader of Opposition told media at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday after submitting a memorandum to the Governor ESL Narasimhan to intervene in taking action against the TDP President.

The money on offer which is quoted as Rs 5 cores for MLA and to get one MLC seat a political party needs to get 18 MLA seats and such a whopping amount being squandered away by TDP for a solitary seat with uncertain and unfavourble numbers shows the way Chandrababu Naidu has been playing the politics of money power.

“Where from Chandrababu Naidu, the kingpin of the horse trading operation, get the money is very obvious with the series of corruption charges he has been facing. The kickbacks received from Pattiseema project contractors who have been generously awarded the works though they have quoted 22 % excess, the GO which enables the contractors to escalate the cost, paying dues to favoured industrialists with retrospective effect, byrites mining, coal deals and sand mafia are the sources of the ill- gotten wealth which was lavishly spent during the MLC elections,” he said.

“If Chandrababu Naidu can go to this extent for a single seat, where the Party has no numbers, one can imagine the level of corruption he is resorting to in Andhra Pradesh of which he is the Chief Minister. We have asked the Governor to intervene and see to it that Chandrababu Naidu should be made the prime accused in the case, “he said.
