Nagging power cuts worry Hyderabadis

The major issue in Hyderabad city is the increasing power cuts for various reasons perhaps the time allotted for the power cuts increases every time rather than the issue being solved.

Major cities in the state like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati are all experiencing four-hour power cut from October, in fact much before.

Well! Looking at the power cuts all of us wonder if we are living in a city or a remote village. The electricity department announces in the media only on the day of its implementation without any prior notice to the public. And these power cuts are generally unscheduled and it does become a barrier in finishing many works that needs electricity which is usually during the busy hours of the day. Electricity officials should keep in mind the need of the public and should arrange for a scheduled power cuts so that people can prioritize their work that needs power.

These power cuts cause a lot of problems for the housewifes and also to many institutions who cannot afford for a generator. However, no minister or leader is bothered s to fight this crucial issue of power cuts but are busy fighting for many other issues that do no good to society in general, or its citizens.

Even as the citizens are reeling under 4-hour power cuts continue in the city, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the power situation with officials and directed them to ensure seven-hour supply to farmers as his Government is committed for the welfare of the farming community. Apart from this there are a lot of issues and problems that citizens face which are not voiced. There has to be some mercy shown upon the Hyderabadis as a lot of work is done that needs electricity. Till the matter is seriously taken to the the powers-that-be power woes continue to increase in these cities day by day.
