Mystery Shrouds Inter Student's Death

Hyderabad: An intermediate student died under mysterious circumstances in his hostel room in KPHB colony of the city on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Yashwant Reddy, a native of Beerapally village in Vemsoora mandal of Khammam district. He was studying intermediate at NRI Junior College in Nizampet.
On Friday night he committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in the hostel room. Sources said that Yashwant went into depression following a thrashing he received from a chemistry lecturer. Also, doubts are being raised for the hurried manner in which the College management rushed him to a private hospital and from there to the Gandhi hospital for post-mortem. The College management is said to have not informed the parents of the boy even when his body was being rushed for post-mortem.
His father, Narsi Reddy has alleged that Yashwant died due to the negligence of the college management.
