Mystery behind Sragvi kidnap unraveled, 2 held

The city police on Wednesday cracked the mystery behind the kidnap of eight-month-old Sragvi from Shivam Road in Hyderabad on April 6 (Saturday).
Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma handed over the baby putting an end to the 4-day ordeal of the parents Srujana and Deekshit. Two persons were taken into custody in connection with the kidnap. One of the family friends and kingpin in the kidnap is Ravula Krishna. Police said family disputes led to the kidnap.
Two motorbike-borne miscreants whisked away the baby from the shoulders of her mother while Srujana was walking on the Shivam Road after getting treatment to her baby. On the complaint, the police formed five teams to trace the abducted baby. Video footage from nearby commercial establishments gave no clue to the police. All the family members have been grilled to get a tip.

Anurag Sharma told media persons that the main accused Ravula Krishna working in Reddy Labs and his psychological condition was not stable. He did not have children and was divorced by his wife recently. However, Sharma said the main reason for abduction would only be known after questioning the main accused Krishna.
Happiness of parents Srujana and Deekshit knew no bounds after rejoining with Sragvi. They thanked Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma and his team for timely action to bring back their baby a day before Ugadi.
