Mynampally ditches TDP for Congress

Medak MLA and Telugu Desam party leader Mynampally Hanumantha Rao deflected to Congress on Monday.

He joined Congress in the presence of AICC in-charge for state affairs Digvijaya Singh in New Delhi.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mynampally said that he would contest from Malkajgiri on Congress party ticket.

He resigned from the TDP on Sunday after expressing displeasure over allotment of Malkajgiri seat to BJP. While resigning he had stated that he would contest as an independent candidate and would not join other political parties.   "Unlike others, changing parties is not my character."

But a day later, he joined Congress.
