Muthoot Robber Case: Four Persons Arrested
The police on Friday arrested four persons in connection with the aborted robbery attempt in Muthoot Finance branch of Mylardevpalli in Hyderabad. One of the arrested belongs to Mumbai, two to Osmanabad in Maharashtra and one from Bandlaguda in the city. Two more persons are still at large.
An attempt was made on the Mylardevpalli branch on July 5. A gang of five to eight persons entered the bank at Mailardevpally around 10 am and made a bid to loot after threatening the cashier. However, after an employee raised the burglary alarm and the crowd flocked in to their rescue. The robbers lost their nerve and fled the scene.
Police after learning about the gang which was armed with weapons, roped in Telangana's anti-terrorist squad – OCTOPUS. The Special Forces after examining the CCTV footage traced down the robbers at Happy Homes apartment at Attapur. The police had cordoned off the apartment for a massive search operations.
