Lucknow: Amidst several incidents of lynching of minority people in the name of gau rakshak and cow vigilantism, a group of men from the Muslim community saved a cow which was trapped in a pit.

The incident occurred in Bilari town of Moradabad district in c. It took more than an hour for the people to bring out the cow, which was trapped near a cemetery in the town. The villagers praised the rescuers for the act.

Two days ago, a cattle-rearer from the Muslim community — 27-year-old Jabar Jat in Ludbaay village of Nakhatrana in Kutch district of Gujarat, has announced that he would launch a 48-hour hunger strike from July 20 spreading a message to protect cow and communal harmony.
