Mumbai Boy Scores 200 Runs In 67 Balls

A 19-year-old boy became the first player to smash a double century in a T20 match off just 67 balls.

Rudra Dhanday, a student from Rizvi College of Mumbai broke the record of West Indies' cricketer Chris Gayle who had scored 175 in the 2013 Indian Premier League. Dhanday, represented Rizvi College in the Abis Rizvi Champions Trophy Super-8 College Cricket Tournament, which was organised by University of Mumbai under the aegis of Mumbai Cricket Association. Opening the batting which the college opted first, Dhanday was on the offensive from the start as he reached his century in just 39 balls.

Dhandey along with his teammate Aakarshit Gomel, who scored 63 runs, helped his team post a huge total. The end result was that his team defeated Dalmia college with a score of 247 runs. Dhandey became a hero for his unique feat and was felicitated after the game.

Incidentally, Dhandey is being trained by his father who is a professional cricket coach.
