Mukunda Reddy passes away in Hyd
Congress party senior leader and Ex-MLA of Peddapalli constituency Geetla Mukunda Reddy died on Saturday, after battling prostate cancer, at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.
He won as MLA from Peddapalli constituency for three times. Mukunda belonged to Kunaram village. First, he won as Sarpanch for two times in 1970 and 1976. Later, from Saparch he became MLA and won on Congress party ticket for two times and once on TRS ticket.
He was not offered a ticket by Congress to contest from Peddapalli Assembly constituency in the upcoming polls. He filed nomination as a rebel candidate but withdrew the nomination after being pacified by the Congress High Command.
