Mukesh Goud All Set To Join TRS 

Hyderabad: In a major jolt to the Congress, its senior leader and former minister M. Mukesh Goud is all set to quit the party and join the ruling TRS.

Though Mukesh Goud served as a minister in the Congress government under Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, K. Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy, he was defeated with a huge margin of over 45,000 votes by BJP's Raja Singh Rathod from Goshamahal Assembly constituency in 2014. He was not seen much in public life after Congress' debacle in the last election and also its poor performance in the GHMC elections. The only incident that brought him to the headlines was when his son Vikram Goud shot himself to enact a drama in July last.

According to sources, Mukesh was trying to join TRS for quite some time now but the CM was not so enthusiastic to induct him given his negative image. However, some influential middlemen have reportedly negotiated a deal with KCR to admit Mukesh into the party.

Along with father, Vikram Goud is also likely to join TRS in couple of days. During GHMC elections, Vikram was projected as Mayor candidate from Congress but he failed to win his own seat as a corporator from Goshamahal.
