MRPS sets Chandrababu banners on fire
The supporters of MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga allegedly set fire to TDP`s office in Warangal district on Thursday.
The mishap took place early in the morning ahead of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu`s visit to the district to review the party's performance. The blaze destroyed the furniture and flexi boards in the office.
Some unidentified persons burnt the stage from where Chandrababu was to adress the party-men at Hanmakonda
Manda Krishna Madiga on Wednesday demanded the TDP chief to make his stand clear on categorisation of SCs before he reaches Warangal. He also threatened that MRPS activists would obstruct his tour and not allow him to enter into the district.
They also burnt flags, banners and cutouts of the TDP. The fuming MRPS activist shouted anti-Naidu slogans.
Police arrested several leaders and activists of the MRPS, the TRS and other groups in Warangal district as a precautionary measure.
Chandrababu is scheduled to stay in Warangal on February 12 and leave for Hyderabad on February 13 morning by helicopter.
