Story Plot: Mister is a romantic love story featuring Varun Tej as Pichchaiah Naidu (Chai). Nick-named as Chai, he is a happy-go-lucky guy who falls in love with Meera (Hebah Patel) on his tour in Spain. When he returns to India, village-belle Chandramukhi (Lavanya Tripathi) develops a crush on Chai. He is torn between the two girls and his efforts to understand whose love is genuine makes the crux of this triangular love story.
The movie opens in a Srinu Vaitla mark faction background - usual village rivalries between Pichaiyya Naidu (Nassar) and Gundappa Naidu.
Then the story of grandson of Pichaiyya Naidu in Spain begins. The hero is introduced with a song. Then the usual love affair with Meera and some comedy make the first half entertaining.
The second half is little boring with the village backdrop of Krishnadevaraya family. The entertainment and humor in the first half lacks in second half. However, Lavanya Tripati's pleasant appearance makes it watchable.
The comedy is good. Vintage Srinu Vaitla comedy is hilarious. Spoof of Oopiri movie is entertaining. Raghu Babu and Prudhvi Raj did well in their roles.
The viewers say Mister has an interesting story line and the director has infused the movie with some family sentiments coupled with sufficient comedy and action. It makes the movie a family entertainer with all the commercial ingredients to please the audience.
After facing disasters at the box office with Aagadu and Bruce Lee, director Srinu Vaitla has high hopes on this flick. Varun Tej also needed a hit after his last movie Loafer bounced at the box office. Varun Tej tried his best to make it a hit with a complete make over of his look for Mister. The trailer of Mister got good response.
Overall, the audience's verdict of Mister was - just another average flick with some good entertainment. The lengthy scenes before the interval and some dragging scenes after the interval are boring though. The positive side is only clean entertainment; especially the spoof in the first half. Couple of good songs , star cast , rich production values are strengths.
It may not be a must watch, especially if you are busy otherwise.
