Movie Releases For Sankranti

To make the most of the festive season, several movies have been lined up for Sankranti. The release dates of a few films were even advanced while many others dropped out of the race to avoid clash at the box office. Producers from different film industries have planned their movie releases around the festival hoping to rake in good collections.

Let's take a look at what movies are releasing this Sankranthi

Tollywood

The Telugu film Industry will see four major releases this festive season. Among them, three are releasing on the same day. Balakrishna's Jai Simha and Telugu dubbed movies like Suriya's Gang and Vikram's Sketch are releasing on the January 12. Meanwhile, Raj Tarun's Rangula Ratnam is hitting the theatres on January 14.

Kollywood

There are five movies clashing on Pongal. Beginning with Surya's Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Vikram's Sketch, Prabhu Deva's Gulebagavali, Shanmuga Pandian's Madurai Veeran and Arvind Swami's Bhaskar Oru Rascal are scheduled for release tomorrow.

Sandalwood

There seems to be no source of entertainment for Kannadigas during the festive season as Karnataka screens will be completely occupied with Telugu and Tamil movies. There are some movies which are releasing ahead of pongal like Humble Politician and Nograj on January 12. Vasu - Naan Pakka Commercial is scheduled to hit theatres on January 19.
