Mother of 'T' cause martyr not given desired seat

Mother of K Srikanthachary, who set himself ablaze for the cause of Telangana, Shankaramma's name appeared in the first list of candidates released by TRS chief KCR.

A few days back, she threatened to immolate herself if she was denied a TRS ticket from Palakurthi in Warangal district. 

Shankaramma had staged a protest in front of KCR's residence when KCR flatly refused to give her Palakurthi ticket. She said she too would go her son's way and immolate self if she was not made the party candidate within three days.

Finally KCR had allotted an Assembly seat for Shankaramma, but not the seat she desired. She will now contest from Huzurnagar assembly constituency in Nalgonda district. (Entire List) 

Soon after KCR announced the list, TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao accused the him saying that he has given tickets of difficult constituencies to T- martyrs. He questioned KCR as to why he gave Huzurnagar ticket and not Palakurthi ticket to Shankaramma. Huzurnagar can be a difficult challenge for the mother of the martyr, he maintained.
