More Than Half Of Modi’s Twitter Followers Are Fake
New Delhi: Among all the politicians in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charisma and popularity are unparalleled. The former Gujarat CM's continuous presence in the social media prior to his becoming the Prime Minister has resulted in his gaining huge popularity across India. He is the most followed Indian leader on Twitter with 41 million followers, and the world's most followed politician on the social media, next to him is US President Donald Trump. But things are not true as it seems, with over 60 per cent of his followers being fake, according to a recent survey by Twiplomacy, Twitter Audit, and Outlook.
The survey revealed that most world leaders, including our Prime Minister, may have more than 50 per cent fake followers on their twitter profiles. This includes US President Donald Trump, Pope Francis and King Salman.

According to the report, 2,41,80,000 of Modi's 4,03,00,000 twitter followers are fake. These include internet bots-an automated application used to imitate workings of accounts of actual humans, thereby imitating them and inactive followers.
The Prime Minister has 16,191,426 real followers, whereas Kejriwal has 6,321,697 followers and Rahul has 1,715,634 followers.
