More Farmers Will Commit Suicide, Says Yechury

CPI(M) National Secretary Sitaram Yechury - Sakshi Post

Nalgonda: The number of farmers committing suicides would go up in the coming days due to increase in the farm debts as government continues to ignore farmers' welfare and loan waiver, opined CPI(M) National Secretary Sitaram Yechury. He was speaking at the CPI(M) State Meeting here today.

Yechury pointed out that communal violence is escalating in the country and this is a threat to democracy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government machinery is putting people in to a state of confusion, he emphasized.

The BJP-led NDA government is playing vote bank politics by stirring up communal violence between Hindu and Muslim communities in the country, he alleged. Senior party leader Narayana said that at present the violence against Dalits is on the higher side.
