More attracted to grey characters: Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi’s journey to the ‘dark side’ - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Actor Vivek Oberoi says he is naturally more attracted to parts that have grey shades and darker sides.

Speaking about his upcoming Ram Gopal Varma’s gangster thriller Rai the 39-year-old actor said, “I have been unfair to the fans of ‘Saathiya’ who wanted to see me do more love stories but I kind of enjoy playing grey characters more.”

Will Rai be his crowning glory?

Vivek, who started his movie career with Varma’s Company in 2002, said “Rai is not an ordinary gangster. It is a journey of a man who started out as a small clerk and a regular job going guy from there to become the don of Bengaluru, it is an exciting biopic about a guy who is actually alive.”

Calling the experience thrilling, the actor said, “To study a man like that and his mannerism of what happened in his life, it is extremely exciting and it’s more than a gangster film.”

Vivek will next be seen in adult comedy Great Grand Masti.
